So the shortest day came,
and the year died,
And everywhere down the centuries
of the Snow-white world,
came people singing, dancing,
To honor the dark and
to welcome the light.
For thousands of years, all over this planet we call Earth, humans have been coming together in ceremony both solemn and joyful, to honor, to celebrate, and to participate in the rebirth of the light, the return of the sun.
Join us on Friday December 21, the shortest day, the longest night, and the time of the rebirth of light from out of the luminous darkness. Together we will:
🌲 Invoke the sacred powers of the Four Directions
🌲 Drum in the soft darkness of the longest night.
🌲 Join in sacred chant.
🌲 Joyfully welcome the new light.
🌲 Dance the ancient spiral to rebirth our own inner light.
This is a Shamanic celebration, intrinsic to all faiths.
Bring your drums, rattles, rain sticks and bells. Extra drums and rattles available.
Friday December 21, 7:00 - 8:45PM
Open to all. Contribution $10 - $20. RSVP if possible, not required
