August 13 - 15 The Christine Center. On Site

If we surrendered to earth’s intelligence, we could rise up rooted, like trees. Rilke
Rainer Maria Rilke is one of the most highly regarded lyric poets in all of literature. Throughout his life he sought to deepen his connection with his beloved Earth and the indwelling forces of creation. He spoke eloquently of the Numinous existing always and everywhere in all creation. Toward the end of his life he felt he had discovered our planet’s purpose for humankind, sharing it in his masterwork The Duino Elegies.
In this weekend we will experience and explore the lucid, lyrical poetry and prose of this gifted artist as a means to challenge and deepen our own connection with Gaia, our Earth. Along the way we will grow our sense and imagination of the Divine.
This is a highly experiential weekend, one that may stir your own inner capacities of creativity. We will experience Earth as beloved companion on our own soul journey. We will read together, ponder together, meditate and contemplate together, dialog and share together.
We will learn effective techniques of opening to and experiencing the underlying Presence in the material realm so that we may participate in the ever evolving of creation. We will carry our inner work into the surrounding landscape for a closer, personal communion with Nature.
Our time together will touch you, challenge you and, if willing, open you to a deeper way of being.
